Man found with serious wounds

House-to-house inquiries are being carried out in a north Notts village after a man was found with serious injuries.

A member of the public found the man, aged in his forties, on Redhill Lane, Bothamsall, at 1.40pm today (Wednesday).

He is understood to have serious wounds to his neck legs and stomach.

The man, from Derbyshire, was airlifted to Queen's Medical Centre, Nottingham, where he remains.

Redmill Lane has been cordoned off by police and officers are carrying out house-to-house inquiries.

A Nottinghamshire Police spokesman said investigations were continuing to establish what happened and how the man came by his injuries.
