Emma Ferguson stuns shoppers while posing in the The Children’s Society store window on Middlegate, Newark

A charity shop has raised £244 by putting a living mannequin in the shop window.

Emma Ferguson, the assistant shop manager at The Children’s Society store on Middlegate, posed to raise funds for the charity.

Emma said that it went really well but it was difficult posing for eight hours.

“It was a challenge, but it was fantastic,” she said.

“It got people talking because they weren’t expecting to see me there.”

Emma said she volunteered herself when they were discussing ideas for a new shop window.

“We wanted a Valentine’s theme because it’s that time of year,” she said. “I had a red wedding dress and volunteered to sit in the shop window for the day. People paid £1 to have a photo with me, it was great.

“We were just trying to think of new and fresh ideas which could help us promote our campaigns.”
