Lord Ted Pub, Newark, to host Brave The Shave for Macmillan Cancer Care
A pub is hosting a Brave The Shave event and family fun day to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Care.
Dozens of Greene King pubs across the country, including The Lord Ted in Newark, will be hosting such events for their charity partner.
So far around ten people have signed up for the shave, but it is hoped that number will rise to 20.
The pub aims to raise more than £2,000.
It will also be fundraising throughout September with coffee mornings and competitions.
Simon Keane, general manager at The Lord Ted, will be having his head shaved in honour of his partner’s mum.
He said: “I’m a little bit nervous, not going to lie.”
There will be stalls and bouncy castles, inflatable slides, games and a barbecue on the day.
Head down from 10am until 9pm on Monday.
Singer Anthony Pegg will be on from 5pm to 9pm.
