Media content sent by the Advertiser readers during a large scale fire at Newark Northgate that is being investigated by Nottinghamshire Police

The fire on Saturday (November 11) burnt down around 200 tonnes of recycled plastic, causing a lot of damage.

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Services were in attendance from the moment it was first reported early afternoon until late in the evening.

During the fire, the Advertiser readers were aiding the reports and updates with media content.

Nottinghamshire Police is leading an investigation into the fire to determine what caused it, however, there is no indication of criminal behaviour.
