Four men and two women arrested by Nottinghamshire Police after drugs warrants in Newark and Norwell - update
Four men (aged 40, 35, 32 and 27) and two women (aged 35 and 32) were arrested after drugs warrants in Newark and Norwell yesterday (Friday, January 31).
Officers from Nottinghamshire Police executed warrants in Moorlands Road, Norwell as well as Appletree Close in Newark and recovered a quantity of cannabis as well as a firearm.
The men and women were arrested on suspicion of offences ranging from possession of a firearm, possession of drugs, possession of offensive weapons and possession of criminal property.
Detective Sergeant David Prest, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We will not tolerate drug crime in our county and we are committed pursuing all those who break the law.
“Drugs have a devastating impact on people’s lives and these arrests are an example of our commitment to tackling drug crime in the county.
“The recovery of a firearm goes a long way to prevent further serious offences.
