Men arrested over serious injury assault

Two men have been arrested following an incident in Newark where a 53-year-old man was seriously injured.

The victim was found with serious head injuries in carpark in Lincoln Road at around 10.55am on Saturday 11 June.

He remains in hospital in a stable condition.

Two men, aged 18 and 25, have been arrested on suspicion of assault. They are in police custody and are being interviewed by detectives.

Police would still like to speak to witnesses or anyone with information about this incident.
