Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire issued with another Met Office weather warning for ice
A yellow weather warning for ice has been issued for Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire.
The Met Office has issued its third weather warning for the East Midlands this week, which will be active between 6pm today (January 23) and 11am tomorrow (January 24).
The forecaster has warned of conditions similar to what has already been experienced in the county over the past few days.
The Met Office said on their website: "Another cold night with a risk of ice, either where surfaces remain wet from daytime showers, or where further wintry showers fall onto frozen surfaces during the night and on Thursday morning.
"Showers will be a mix of rain, sleet and snow, with some slight accumulations possible, mainly above 200 metres."
A yellow weather warning is the least severe of the Met Office weather warnings.
Newark and Sherwood District Council have said that the severe weather emergency shelter for rough sleepers at Barnby Gate Methodist Church, Newark will remain open for the next few evenings.
If you know of anyone sleeping rough in Newark, please direct them to the shelter.
