Greenfields Residential Care Home in Coddington raises money for ophans at Greenfest




More than £400 was raised for charity by a Coddington care home over the weekend.

Greenfields Residential Care Home in Coddington held its annual Greenfest event on Saturday, raising money for El Shaddai Charitable Trust, which provides support to thousands of children living on the streets of India.

The home, which specialises in care for adults with learning difficulties and autism, held a host of fun activities for all the family, with a range of hot food, ice creams, games, music, and a bouncy castle.

One of the most popular attractions was Splat The Staff where members of the Greenfields team were put in the stocks and guests paid to throw wet sponges at them.

More than £400 was raised overall for El Shaddai Charitable Trust.

Lauri Smith, manager of Greenfields, said: “It was a great day and we had a really good turn out.

“We would like to say thank you for the community who came out to support us.”
