Robin Hood Entertainment and Soft Play at Malt Park, Newark reopens following refurbishment
A soft play and party venue has reopened after undergoing refurbishment to make the space brighter, bigger and better.
Robin Hood Entertainment and Soft Play on Malt Park, Newark closed mid-February to add two new sections for those aged under and above four years old.
Additionally, the sensory room was completely refurbished to accommodate babies under the age of one and to include SEN of any age.
Tim Dallison took over the business in 2021 and he was never satisfied with the venue. He made the promise to elevate it to high standards and make it bigger, brighter and better.
“On a personal level, I made it my mission to create a play centre that could stand up against any other in any town or city and lead from the front.
“I finally feel we have this with Robin Hood. We are not getting support not only from Newark and its surrounding areas but attracting regulars from Grantham, Nottingham Sleaford and Lincoln which makes us feel happy and proud.”
The over four section includes a – Bravery Ledge – a clear decking that hangs the frame where children can challenge themselves to stand, if they struggle from fear of heights.
It also includes monkey bars to challenge strength.
The under four section is set to include several features such as puzzles, interactive games, fixed musical instruments, a volcano ball blow and a balance beam.
Children over the age of four will be able to play at the new state of the art Laser Tag System, however, it is recommended for children over 10, who wouldn’t usually book a Soft Play Party.
The venue offers activities and events for all ages, from newborns and teenagers to adult laser tag and themed events.
Tim added: “The feedback has been incredible. It is completely humbling to hear such lovely words from the mums, dads, grannies, grandads and carers but also the people we care most about impressing and ultimately passing the success judgement are the children.
“Seeing the wow on their faces and the sound of happiness while they are in the frame makes all the stress and hard work in delivering my mission worth it.”
The business has also started a balloon business – Robin Hood Ballons – which is under the management of Carrie Bowler. It supplies different products including helium birthday numbers, arched and stuffed balloons to columns, personalised and party balloons.
