Total of 120 coronavirus cases reported in Newark and Sherwood today (Sunday, January 23) according to Public Health England




A total of 120 new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Newark and Sherwood, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

Ashfield 31,959 (up 293) Bassetlaw 29,073 (up 359) Broxtowe 27,314 (up 305) Gedling 30,408 (up 120) Mansfield 28,101 (up 133) Newark and Sherwood 28,690 (up 120) Rushcliffe 29,784 (up 151) Nottingham city 85,214 (up 358) Nottinghamshire 205,329 (up 954).

In the last seven days there have been 1,012 positive cases recorded in Newark and Sherwood, this is down 45 cases from the previous seven-day period.

In the latest 24-hour period, there have been three new deaths reported in Newark and Sherwood within 28 days of the person testing positive for the virus, leaving the total at 261.

According to the latest public data, 15,784,488 (up 75,429) patients in the UK have tested positive and 153,787 (up 297) people have died within 28 days of positive test.

The number of people vaccinated with the first dose up to January 20 is 52,203,675 (up 17,277) the number with the second dose is 48,115,948 (up 33,312) and the booster 36,821,284 (up 67,640).
