Total of 234 coronavirus cases reported in Newark and Sherwood today (Wednesday, March 23), according to Public Health England




A total of 234 new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Newark and Sherwood today, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

Ashfield 39,626 cases (up 207) Bassetlaw 36,689 (up 169) Broxtowe 34,635 (up 163) Gedling 37,891 (up 198) Mansfield 35,068 (up 192) Newark and Sherwood 36,179 (up 234) Rushcliffe 38,252 (up 248) Nottingham city 104,172 (up 334) and Nottinghamshire 258,340 (up 1,411).

In the last seven days there have been 1,049 positive cases recorded in Newark and Sherwood, which is up 34 cases on the previous seven-day period.

There have been no new deaths reported in Newark and Sherwood within 28 days of the person testing positive for the virus, leaving the total at 272.

According to the latest data, 20,515,998 (up 196,564) patients in the UK tested positive and 164,123 (up 194) people died within 28 days of positive test.

The number of people vaccinated with the first dose up to March 22 is 52,756,382 (up 4,631) the number with the second dose is 49,336,877 (up 11,840) and the booster 38,683,737 (up 18,111).
