Motoring offences among latest cases from Nottingham Magistrates’ Court
A speeding driver who avoided disqualification is among the latest cases from Nottingham Magistrates’ Court.
Maria Pykett, 45, of Cotham Lane, Hawton, pleaded guilty to speeding at an appearance at the court on April 9.
The Land Rover driver had previously pleaded not guilty.
Pykett drove at a speed over 30mph on Hawton Road, on June 8, 2023.
She was fined £330, ordered to pay costs of £218 and had four points added to her licence.
Pykett avoided a totting disqualification due to the exceptional impact it would have on her farming business, children and father.
Rosemarie Hartley, 41, of Peel Avenue, Tuxford, was temporarily disqualified from driving after pleading guilty to speeding during an appearance at the court on April 8.
She pleaded guilty to the offence, on August 1, 2023, when she drove a Mini at a speed over 30mph on B1164 Eldon Street.
Hartley was fined £240, ordered to pay costs of £186 and was disqualified for holding or obtaining a driving licence for seven days.
Patrick Kealey, 29, of Longbow Caravan Park, Tuxford, appeared before magistrates on April 9.
Kealey admitted to breaching a community order made by the court in April 2023, by failing to to attend as instructed on December 7 and 14, 2023.
He was fined £60 and ordered to pay costs of £60.
Another speeding motorist before the courts was Robert Andrew Kime, 56, of Orford Avenue, Radcliffe on Trent, who was sentenced on April 8.
Mini driver Kime plead guilty to driving at 35mph, in a 30mph limit, on A610 Nuthall Road on July 26, 2023.
He was fined £346 and ordered to pay costs of £228.
Three points were added to his licence.
Bailey Joe Marks, 23, of Potterhanworth, Lincoln, was sentenced at the court on April 5.
The Audi driver drove on Lincoln Road, Winthorpe, on June 28, 2023, without sufficient tread on his front nearside tyre.
He pleaded not guilty to the offence, but it was proved his absence.
Marks was fined £440 and ordered to pay costs of £486.
Three points were added to his licence.
