Newark police arrest motorist on suspicion of driving while under influence of drugs during planned operation

Newark police stopped several vehicles and arrested a motorist on suspicion of driving while on drugs.

During at operation at Rufford Ford, the Newark and Sherwood Op Reacher team pulled over a number of vehicles for careless and/or dangerous driving.

Tickets were also handed out to those not wearing a seatbelt.

A driver was then arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs.

The operation was carried out on Sunday.
