Multiple fire crews at scene of blaze in Newark town centre




Multiple fire crews, the ambulance service and police at are the scene of a fire in Newark town centre this evening.

They were called to a building fire on Appletongate following a report just after 7.30pm.

The fire seems to be in the area of Church Walk.

There are two fire engines from Newark, one from Collingham and another from Southwell in attendance.

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "We currently have two fire engines from Newark, one from Collingham and one from Southwell in attendance at a fire on Appletongate, Newark, after receiving a call just after 7.30pm.

"Police and ambulance are also in attendance."
