Murder remand

Two men appeared before Newark magistrates on Friday charged with the murder of Mr Chris Johnson.

Mr Samuel Desmond Childe (21) of Philip Road, Newark, and Mr Lee Andrew Sharp (21) of Lincoln Road, Newark, were remanded in custody.

Their case was committed to Nottingham Crown Court where they will appear, via video link, on February 22.

Mr Johnson (26) was found unconscious at his home on Station Road, Collingham, at 10am on Monday of last week. He died two days later.
