Total 177 coronavirus cases reported in Newark and Sherwood since April 25, according to Public Health England




A total of 177 new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Newark and Sherwood since April 25, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

Since the start of the pandemic, Ashfield has seen 42,531 cases (up 157 ) Bassetlaw 39,536 (up 177) Broxtowe 37,614 (up 192) Gedling 40,585 (up 151) Mansfield 37,907 (up 158) Newark and Sherwood 39,112 (up 177) Rushcliffe 41,315 (up 186) Nottingham city 109,458 (up 351) and Nottinghamshire 278,600 (up 1,198).

There have now been a total of 305 deaths reported in Newark and Sherwood within 28 days of the person testing positive for the virus.

In the last seven days, 99,279 patients (22,073,858 total) in the UK tested positive and 1,175 people (175,319 total) died within 28 days of positive test.

The number of people vaccinated with the first dose up to April 28 is 553,184,869, the number with the second dose is 49,727,305, and the booster 39,248,005.
