Total 289 coronavirus cases reported in Newark and Sherwood in last seven days, according to Public Health England
A total of 289 new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Newark and Sherwood in the last seven days, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.
During the same period, Ashfield has seen 253 cases (42,374 total) Bassetlaw 39,359 (up 280) Broxtowe 37,422 (up 301) Gedling 40,434 (up 249) Mansfield 37,749 (up 299) Newark and Sherwood 38,935 (up 289) Rushcliffe 41,129 (up 332) Nottingham city 109,107 (up 531) and Nottinghamshire 277,402 (up 2,003).
There have now been a total of 299 deaths reported in Newark and Sherwood within 28 days of the person testing positive for the virus.
In the last seven days, 230,702 patients (21,978,198 total) in the UK tested positive and 2,297 people (173,693 total) died within 28 days of positive test.
The number of people vaccinated with the first dose up to April 24 is 53,149,072, the number with the second dose is 49,695,725 and the booster 39,169,853.
