The family of a man who went missing three months ago are again appealing for anyone with information about where he is to contact the police.

Mr Michael Grocock (68) who is known to his friends and family as Mick, went missing on Christmas Day last year.

His daughter, Mrs Julie Emerson, is desperate to find out what has happened to him.

Mrs Emerson, who lives in Bottesford, said: “Dad’s disappearance has been a massive shock, and we still hope that he’ll come walking back through the door asking what all the fuss has been about.

“The worst thing is not knowing whether he’s OK, and we feel like we’re in limbo until we find out what has happened to him. We’re desperate to hear from him, even if it’s just to let us know that he’s alright.

“The police have been doing everything they can to find him, but I’d ask anyone who’s seen Dad or knows where he is to contact them immediately.”

Mrs Emerson’s 15-year-old son spoke to Mr Grocock at about 9pm on Christmas Eve, and he is the last person police know to have had contact with him.

Officers believe Mick left his home in Whatton at some point on Christmas Day and his car, a black Nissan Note Acenta (registration FT57 GXG) was found outside the Unicorn pub in Gunthorpe on Sunday, December 28 last year.

They have been unable to establish his movements between these times, and want to hear from anyone who saw Mr Grocock between Christmas Day and December 28.

Mr Grocock is white, around 6ft tall, of medium build, with grey hair and brown eyes.

Police believe he was wearing green Wellington boots, dark tracksuit bottoms, a lumberjack-style shirt, a dark fleece and a black winter coat when he went missing.

Anyone who has seen Mr Grocock, a man matching his description, or who was in the Gunthorpe area on the morning of December 28 and saw a black Nissan Note Acenta, should contact Nottinghamshire Police on 0115 9670999.
