Beermats Brewing Company have opened a brand new taproom on their premises in Winkburn.
Punters can now relax and enjoy the ambiance thanks to a brewery’s new venture.
Beermats Brewing Company, co-directed and founded by Gregg McDermott, Crichton Brauer and Andy Kendrick, have opened a brand new taproom on their premises in Winkburn.
They are welcoming the public in to enjoy some of their home-brewed beers in a bar-like setting — complete with a piano for guests to tinkle the ivories while enjoying a drink or two.
Co-director and founder Mr McDermott said: “We wanted to make this a nice place for people to come.
“We’ve put in a lot of hard work and it’s been a dream for us that’s now become a reality.
“We’re in a beautiful countryside location and people can come and have a drink with us.
“We’re hoping to have different beers on rotation to keep people interested.”
The team are hoping to hire out the new taproom and bar area for public events, and to offer hands-on brewery tours and experiences.
Mr Brauer said: “We want to be able to offer people the option to get involved in the beer-making process and see what goes on behind the scenes, and of course try some beer samples afterwards.
“For me there’s nothing better than the smell of a brewery.
“We want more people to know we are here.
“We have only been open for two years and it’s a nice progression to have.”
