New Beaumond House Hospice Care charity shop to open in Newark
A new charity shop will be opening its doors for the first time tomorrow (Friday).
The new Beaumond House Hospice Care charity shop, on Beaumond Cross, will be opening its doors to its first customers at 10am.
The shop will sell furniture, electrical good and bric-a-brac alongside clothing.
The charity's chief executive Heidi Hawkins said: "Our new unit at Beaumond Cross will be selling furniture, electrical goods, bric a brac, books and clothing. The difference with our shop is that it is also a donation drop off point and we welcome donors and customers alike. We’ll be picking up and delivering furniture too.
"We hope that once we’re open we will build our team of volunteers to support us with sorting, steaming, customer service, keeping our shop looking the best it can. There really is something for everyone."
The town-centre shop is the charity's fourth, with shops already established in Southwell, Collingham, and on Stodman Street in Newark.
Heidi added: "Beaumond Cross marks an important part of our retail growth plan, to increase the income we can raise to support the care we provide across Newark and Sherwood."
The shop will be open 9am to 4.30pm from Monday to Saturday each week, with an official launch to be held in January.
