New covid-related death reported in Newark and Sherwood today, according to Public Health England

A total of 70 new coronavirus cases and one new death have been confirmed in Newark and Sherwood, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

In the last seven days there have been 373 positive cases recorded in Newark and Sherwood, which is down 3 cases on the previous seven days.

In the latest 24-hour period, there have been one new death reported in Newark and Sherwood within 28 days of the person testing positive for the virus, taking the total to 229.

According to the latest public data, 9,406,001 (up 39,325) patients in the UK have tested positive and 142,338 (up 214) people have died within 28 days of positive test.

The number of people vaccinated with the first dose up to November 8 is 50,336,130 (up 39,836). The total for the second dose is 45,894,237 (up 21,199) and the total for the booster is 10,920,416 (up 340,294).
