Independent Nottinghamshire business The Little Shoe Company opens new shoe shop in Southwell
An independent shoe shop is finding its feet in a new location.
The Little Shoe Company, owned by Rachael Foley, has had shops around Nottinghamshire since 2007, and has now relocated to a new area.
The new store has opened in Southwell, taking over the unit at the front of the Co-op food store.
Rachael said: “I’ve always looked at [Southwell] as a nice area, I like that it has a lot of independent shops.
“I’ve had shoe shops in Nottingham for 16 years and I thought this was a great opportunity.
“The location has good footfall and plenty of parking.”
The shop stocks a range of well known brands in childrens’ and adults’ shoes, including Startrite and Skechers, as well as wide-fit German brand G-Comfort.
School shoes are stocked up to senior sizes.
She added: “For most shoe shopping, the people of Southwell have to go to Nottingham, or travel quite a distance.
“I’ve only been open about a week and a half but I’m getting a lot of positive feedback.
“I’ve spoken to residents and they seem really happy that we are here.”
