New operator links seven Nottinghamshire villages to Newark town centre

The popular 300 bus service will be linking seven Nottinghamshire villages with Newark from August 1.

Following a contract bid with CT4N, the vital rural bus service will operate on Mondays, Wednesday and Friday with two buses per day in each direction.

The bus will link Lowdham, Caythorpe, Hoveringham, Fiskerton, Morton, Shouthwell, Upton and Newark.

Barry Allitt, the CT4N operations director said: “We are delighted to be taking on this service, previously operated by Sharpes of Nottingham, and our first priority is to reassure passengers that the timetable remains exactly as it was and with no changes to fares.”

Customers will be able to pay for the trip with cash, debit or credit cards, Google pay or Apple pay.

“Customers can be assured of a warm and considerate welcome from our drivers and, on arrival in Newark, they can be dropped off at either Newark Bus Station, a short walk through the Christopher Place shopping centre to the market square, or to Newark Northgate Station for intercity train services.” added Barry.
