New tip site identified

A site has been found to replace the household waste recycling centre at Cotham.
The new site will be at Telford Road, Newark, although the waste management authority, Nottinghamshire County Council, would not give details of the plans until a planning application was submitted next week.
The county council’s communities department has published a legal notice of its intent to apply for planning permission to use Telford Drive.
The notice says the department is seeking permission to continue using Cotham for 18 months after the current planning permission ends on April 30.
