Confirmed coronavirus cases in Newark and Sherwood reaches 3,450 (Friday, December 18) as Nottinghamshire continues under Tier 3 restrictions
Thirty four coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Newark and Sherwood according to the latest figures from Public Health England, taking the total to 3,450.
Ashfield 4,033 (up 33) Bassetlaw 4,313 (up 41) Broxtowe 3,647 (up 19) Gedling 3,962 (up 42) Mansfield 3,373 (up 38) Newark and Sherwood 3,450 (up 34) Rushcliffe 3,618 (up 38) Nottingham 18,213 (up 92) Nottinghamshire 26,428 (up 245).
In the last seven days there have been 234 positive cases recorded in Newark and Sherwood and 2,025 in Nottinghamshire (including Nottingham). This represents an increase.
Today, no further people resident in Newark and Sherwood have died within 28 days of testing positive for the virus, according to the latest data. It leaves the total at 105.
Yesterday, it was announced Newark and Sherwood, along with the rest of Nottinghamshire, would continue under Tier 3 restrictions until at least the next review.
