Newark Business Awards 2024 winners revealed at ceremony at Newark Showground
More than 300 people put on their suits and dresses to attend a gala ceremony at Newark Showground to see the winners of this year’s Newark Business Awards crowned,
The annual awards are organised by the Advertiser under parent company Iliffe Media.
Advertiser editor Sharon Hodkin said: “Nobody can deny that it has been a tough period for some sectors, and continues to be, and that is why it is so very important that we celebrate your achievements.
“As someone who lives and works in Newark, I am a regular visitor to the town centre and despite what you may read on social media, there is a huge amount to celebrate in Newark and Sherwood.
“Once again it has been another fantastic year for entries and it is good to see a lot of new faces among our finalists, all reflecting the diverse range of businesses we have here in the district.
The chosen charity for the night was Newark Community First Aid, which provides high-quality, reliable and professional first aid service at events in the area and aims to supply first aid training within the community.
A total of £1,137.73 was raised on the night for the charity.
The evening started with a drinks reception and three-course meal before a duo entertained guests with music and a good laugh right before the all-awards ceremony, hosted by BBC Radio Lincolnshire presenter Melvyn Prior started.
Winners and highly commended were presented across 11 categories.
The biggest winner of the night was Skins Sexual Health, which also won the Business of the Year category and the Judge Prestige Award.
