Man dies following a collision in Balderton

A 21-year-old man has died following a collision between two cars in Staple Lane, Balderton.
The incident happened at around 12am this morning (Friday, April 14).
A Ford Focus and Volkswagen Passat collided.
The driver of the Focus was pronounced dead shortly afterwards.
He has been named as Francis Martell, of Dry Doddington.
The family have asked for privacy at this time.
The driver of the Passat suffered serious leg injuries and was taken to Queens Medical Centre, Nottingham.
Police are appealing to anyone with any information that could help and any drivers in the area at the time with dashcam footage to contact 101 quoting incident 3 of 14 April.
