Newark mother fights coronavirus fears by channelling her inner actress on TikTok
A mother is fighting coronavirus fears by channelling her inner actress on a video-sharing platform.
Victoria Bunn, of Newark, has taken to the popular TikTok app to record funny and entertaining videos during the lockdown, performing short comedy sketches and well-known snippets from movies.
Having anxiety, Victoria thought making the videos would help boost her spirits and confidence during a tough time, but didn't realise she would be such a source of positivity for others.
"I'm a full-time mum of four and a housewife and I myself have found it extremely difficult and worrying keeping my family safe and well from covid-19," Victoria said.
"As I have anxiety problems I started doing TikTok videos once a day and posted them on my social media just for fun, which helped me get through this awful time, but little did I know this would be a huge impact on others."
Victoria soon started to receive comments from well-wishers on her videos, saying how funny she and her ideas were, and to keep them coming because of how much they were helping others.
One person wrote: "You may not realise it, but you are fast becoming everyone's rainbow."
A second person said they couldn't wait for the next exciting episode, and another added: "I have loved watching all your lockdown videos so far, you make me smile."
One of her latest creations features Victoria highlighting appreciation for supermarket workers, amusingly singing Aretha Franklin's 'Respect' while holding a toilet roll and packet of pasta.
Victoria said: "So, I've ended up putting lockdown videos on social media every day.
"I can't thank everyone enough for their kind words because not only has it helped me, but it's helping others."
