Emergency services close off section of Hawton Lane, Newark, after gas leak

Emergency services have closed off a road in Newark after a gas leak.

A section of Hawton Lane has been shut between the traffic lights at Bowbridge Road and Lansbury Road.

It will remain temporarily closed while the fault is fixed.

The road was closed at around 3pm and slow traffic has now developed around the town.
