Officers are appealing for information after three masked men with knives attempted to rob the SKM Convenience Store, Beacon Hill Road, Newark, at 8.49pm yesterday - with the shopkeeper's wife and eight-month-old child also in the store.




OFFICERS are appealing for information after three masked men with knives attempted to rob a convenience store - with the shopkeeper's wife and baby also in the shop.

They demanded money but left empty-handed after being challenged by a shopkeeper at SKM Convenience Store, Beacon Hill Road, Newark, at 8.49pm yesterday (Saturday 27 April). The shopkeeper's wife and eight-month-old child were also in the store at the time.

Officers have been making enquiries in the area and have stepped up patrols.
