Newark Summer Dusk Market celebrates local and independent businesses

The Market Place was buzzing on Wednesday evening as locals gathered for the Newark Summer Dusk Market.

The event celebrating local and independent businesses offered something for every member of the family with late-night food and dessert stalls, Punch and Judy and live music.

Preparing the event was market manager Ian Harrison and organiser Louise Clark, who wanted to bring locals together for a night of community-focused fun.

Ahead of the European Juggling Convention – being held at the Newark Showground on Sunday – jugglers were practising on the steps of the Town Hall.

Organisers thought this was a good enough reason to make a night of it and hold other events throughout the evening, in the hope of bringing a boost to Market businesses.
