Nine areas in Newark, Balderton and Boughton have been resurfaced as part of a two-year programme.
Newark and Sherwood District Council has carried out the works to make sure pathways and communal areas are fit for purpose.
Next on the list to be improved are Sutton-on-Trent and Carswell Close in Newark.
One Balderton resident said: "Just to let you know that they have done a fantastic job at the rear of Tenzing Walk.
"It’s a good job done. Looks heaps better. Thanks to the team."
