Nominations coming in for the Advertiser's Newark Business Awards
Nominations for this year’s Newark Business Awards opened a week ago and already the entries are flooding in.
The first entry was received within hours of the nominations opening.
Winners will be announced at a ceremony in June.
“We have had lots of early entries,” said event organiser Sharron Marriott.
“It is particularly pleasing to see so many businesses coming forward who didn’t, for whatever reason, put themselves forward last year.”
There is still plenty of time to put your nominations in.
Businesses and organisations have until Thursday, March 19, to enter.
The ten categories, and the requirements for each, are listed below.
When you have decided which category/categories you want to enter, simply visit the dedicated website at www.newarkbusiness awards.co.uk
You can either enter your own business, or nominate others.
There are two stages to the nomination process.
Initially, you will be asked to give basic details on the website.
Each nominee will then be sent an electronic entry pack to fill in and send back.
Independent judges from the sponsors and other relevant organisations will look over the nominations and select four finalists in each category.
These will be announced in the Advertiser on Thursday, April 9.
Following the announcement, the judges will visit each finalist and carry out interviews to decide the overall winner in each category, and a highly-commended runner-up.
These will be announced at the grand final at the Lady Eastwood Centre, Newark Showground, on Friday, June 19.
Once again, the evening will be a glittering black-tie affair.
Around 400 people are expected to attend the event, which includes a three-course meal.
As well as a celebration of business success, the evening promises the perfect opportunity to network and showcase your business.
Tickets will go on sale in the next few weeks.
Some sponsorship opportunities are still available for the awards.
