Today is day two of Nottinghamshire County Show - here's what's happening today...

New this year is a Russian Cossack stunt team called Dzhigitovka (Jiggy-toff-ka), and they will be in the main arena again today.

The Cossack people are legendary horseback warriors — masters of sword, throwing knives, pistol, archery, lance and outstanding gymnastic skills, all performed to music on a galloping horse.

Dzhigitovka are said to offer pure adrenaline for the main ring, and you can see them at 11.30am and 2.30pm.

At 12.15pm you can see an Agricultural Heritage Display Harvesting Through the Ages, followed by a Heavy Horse Turnout Trade Singles and Agricultural Turnouts

Then at 2pm, why not have a bit of fun with a lawn mower and witness the Lawn Mower Racing?

And there will be plenty of action in the sheep, pig and goat classes as well with numbers as good as last year and a welcome return of the Pig Agility Class this afternoon, which was a big hit when introduced in 2018.

The NFU will be supporting the Show in the Food Experience Area with lots of activities to keep the children occupied, including the appearance of the famous ‘Red Tractor’ and the NFU Activity Barn.

There are more agricultural stalls than last year, and more trade stands overall.

The timetable for the courtesy bus, sponsored by Newark Town Council, can be found at www.nottinghamshirecountyshow.com

Show tickets cost £15 on the gate. Members and children under 17 go free and there is ample free parking.
