Freezing rain is expected to develop during Saturday, lasting into the early hours of Sunday.
The forecaster said that this may result in icey roads, pavements, trees and other structures.
Snow will accompany the freezing rain in certain parts of the country.

Strong southeasterly wins are expected to accompany the rain and snow.
The warning is in place from 9am on Saturday until 9am on Sunday morning.
The Met Office has warned of possible travel delays on roads, rail and air travel.
Some rural communities could become cut off and power cuts may occur with other services such as mobile phone coverage also possible affected.
Yellow is the least severe Met Office weather warning.
