Offenders, including some from Newark, driven to the Nottingham Magistrates' Court dock

A woman who failed to give police the identity of a BMW driver alleged to have been guilty of an offence had six points added to her licence.

Stephanie Fox, 39, of Barnby Lane, Claypole, had pleaded not guilty at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court, but was found guilty after a trial.

Fox was also fined £1,000 and told to pay £185 costs.

An unlicensed and uninsured driver had six penalty points added to his licence at Nottingham Magistrates' Court.

Nigel Ndlovu, 23, of Brambling Road, Burton Joyce, pleaded guilty to the offences and was fined £150 and told to pay £145 in costs.

He also admitted that he was in possession of cannabis when stopped, for which he received no separate penalty.

A second unlicensed and uninsured driver received eight points and fines totalling £180.

Mason Meanwell, 22, of Byron Close, Newark, had denied the offences, but later changed his pleas to ones of guilty.

The costs awarded against him by the magistrates therefore escalated to a total sum of £234 as the Crown Prosecution Service had prepared for a trial.
