Newark Fire Station is recruiting on-call firefighters from today as part of county-wide recruitment

Newark Fire Station is recruiting on-call firefighters starting today (Monday).

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service is recruiting at all on-call fire stations, including Newark.

Other stations include Bingham, Collingham, Southwell, Tuxford and Edwinstowe.

To become an on-call firefighter applicants must be 18 by the start of the training course and live or work within five minutes of their preferred fire station.

The recruitment drive is open for three weeks and ends on November 8.
