Total of 234 coronavirus cases reported in Newark and Sherwood today (Thursday, March 24) according to Public Health England

A total of 234 new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Newark and Sherwood today, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

Ashfield 39,798 cases (up 172) Bassetlaw 36,819 (up 130) Broxtowe 34,823 (up 188) Gedling 38,047 (up 156) Mansfield 35,212 (up 144) Newark and Sherwood 36,372 (up 193) Rushcliffe 38,421 (up 169) Nottingham city 104,454 (up 282) and Nottinghamshire 259,492 (up 1,152).

In the last seven days there have been 1,052 positive cases recorded in Newark and Sherwood, which is up three cases on the previous seven-day period.

There has been one new death reported in Newark and Sherwood within 28 days of the person testing positive for the virus, taking the total to 273.

According to the latest data, 20,613,817 (up 97,819) patients in the UK tested positive and 164,282 (up 159) people died within 28 days of positive test.

The number of people vaccinated with the first dose up to March 23 is 52,754,119 (up 0) the number with the second dose is 49,341,160 (up 4,283) and the booster 38,701,747 (up 18,010).
