Dorothy Perkins and Burton, which have store on Stodman Street, Newark, could move online with every store closing
One of Newark's remaining major clothing brands could move online, with every store closing.
Online fashion retailer Boohoo is in talks with administrators of Philip Green's collapsed Arcadia group to take over the Dorothy Perkins, Burton and Wallis brands.
It has been reported the retailer would pay about £25m for the brands.
On Monday, Boohoo bought Debenhams out of administration for £55m. This deal excludes its stores and 12,000 staff. All stores will close permanently this year.
Arcadia fell into administration in November, putting more than 13,000 jobs at risk.
Despite high street sales depleting over several years, the coronavirus pandemic and several lockdowns have acted as a catalyst.
Boohoo rival ASOS has also revealed talks with Arcadia's administrators over the acquisition of brands Topshop, Topman, Miss Selfridge and HIIT.
Arcadia's administrators further sold its Evans brand to Australia's City Chic for £23m last month.
