B&Q on Maltings Retail Park, Northgate, Newark, announces opening date

A new DIY store is due to open next week, it has been confirmed.

The B&Q store, on Maltings Retail Park, Northgate, Newark has been under construction since July 2022 and will open on Thursday, April 27, at 7am.

The shop created approximately 30 news jobs for the area.

A spokesman for B&Q said: “We are excited to be opening a new B&Q store at the Maltings Retail Park in Newark.

“We are set to welcome customers to the new B&Q Newark store on Thursday 7th April at 7am.

“Our new store will provide the local area with a full range of B&Q services, including Valspar paint mixing service, TradePoint and one hour Click + Collect, as well as installation services and kitchen, bathroom and bedroom showroom displays.”

The town mayor Laurence Goff will be in attendance from 8.15am to 9.30am to officially inaugurate the space by cutting a ribbon.

From Monday to Saturday the store will open at 7am until 8pm and from 10am to 4pm on Sundays.
