Missing dog Nellie found at Elton

A dog that was missing for more than 48 hours, sparking a public appeal by her owners, has been found.

Nellie's owner, Jo Baxter, went to the solar panels at Station Road, Elton, where her dog had been last seen, to search the area again, but failed to find her.

However, nearby householders then heard barking and went to investigate ­— and found Nellie sitting in an open area that had previously been searched.

Jo said Nellie was found unharmed ­— just as she left ­— with not a single twig, a grass seed or any bits of dirt on her.

Her lead and collar were exactly the same.

Jo said: “We are so grateful for all the support in finding her and to the people who clearly had a heart to return her.”
