Park set for Sconce Fest 2018

A free family fun day returns to Newark’s Sconce and Devon Park on Sunday.

Sconce Fest will be held from 10am to 4pm, providing a range of activities and experiences for children to try.

It is being jointly run by Newark and Sherwood District Council and Newark and Sherwood Community Hub.

There will be a funfair, children’s workshops and craft stalls.

Archery and bikeability sessions will take place, while there is also the opportunity to get involved with puppet-making and flint- knapping.

A number of classic cars will be on display.

A cheerleading group and a ukulele band are among the entertainment planned for the day.
