Rail services through Lincolnshire and Newark affected by strike action this Friday, February 2
Rail passengers are being warned to check train schedules this week as some routes experience reduced services due to ongoing strikes.
Workers from the Rail, Maritime, and Transport union are currently engaged in a series of strikes as part of a prolonged dispute concerning jobs, pay, and working conditions.
Numerous strikes occurred in December and January, coupled with an overtime ban that was active over the Christmas period.
LNER, operating routes from London to Scotland with stops in Lincolnshire, including Grantham, Newark Northgate, and Lincoln, has officially announced reduced services on Friday, February 2. Commuters can expect reduced services from London King's Cross to Grantham Station, with no services operating between Grantham and Lincoln.
The rail company urges passengers to stay informed about the latest developments through their website, mobile app, and social media channels during this period of industrial action.
Industrial action will affect C2C, Greater Anglia, and LNER services on Friday, 2 February. Disruptions are expected for West Midlands Railway, Avanti, East Midlands Railway, and London Northwestern Railway on Saturday, 3 February. Additionally, on Monday, 5 February, Chiltern Railway, Cross Country, and Great Western Railway will encounter similar disruptions.
