East Midlands Railway alerts passengers travelling on their Newark, Derby and Crewe routes to be aware of expected busy trains due to the Midlands Grand National




A train operator is alerting passengers planning on travelling to certain stations on March 15 that trains are expected to be busier than usual.

East Midlands Railways shared on their social media that those planning to travel on their Newark, Derby and Crewe route may be affected.

This is due to the Midlands Grand National at Uttoxeter, the Premier Handicap National Hunt race in the UK.

“Where possible, we have increased the capacity of trains on that route,” EMR wrote.
