A full service has now resumed after the disruption on the Midland Main Line yesterday

All services on the Midland Main Line have now resumed following yesterday's disruption due to a broken rail.

Early yesterday morning, track engineers found the fault near Hendon station, so a reduced service had to be run and journey times took longer than usual.

Network Rail, East Midlands Railway and Govia Thameslink have thanked passengers for their patience whilst work took place to repair a broken rail on the route.
