Person taken to hospital after Newark fire crews called to car and lorry collision

A person trapped inside a car after a crash has been taken to hospital.

Fire crews from Newark, Southwell and West Bridgford were called to Normanton Road, Normanton, at 10am this morning.

They discovered a lorry and car had been involved in a collision.

One person was trapped in the car and rescued by firefighters before being taken to hospital by ambulance.

Normanton Road is still closed both ways from Station Road to Hockerton Road, according to AA Traffic News.
