Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service’s photos reveal extent of lorry fire, with the A614 at Ollerton set to remain closed for some time




Photos have revealed the extent of a lorry fire, with the road set to remain closed for “some time.”

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to a collision and vehicle fire involving a lorry on the A614 at Ollerton in the early hours.

Crews were called out at 1.05am today (Thursday), with Worksop and Edwinstowe engines still in attendance.

In the latest update, the service said: “The road is still closed and is expected to be closed for some time.

“We’re still on scene working with partners to dampen down the fire and make the scene safe.”

Photographs reveal the burnt-out remains of the HGV, and firefighters continuing their work at the scene.

The A614 is blocked from the junction with the B6030 and the junction with Station Road.

Motorists are warned to avoid the area, and diversions are in place.

The AA reports that traffic is coping well in the area.
