The trial of a Southwell plastic surgeon for the attempted murder of a former colleague has been further adjourned.

Dr Peter Brooks was due to begin a trial that could have lasted eight weeks at Nottingham Crown Court yesterday.

However, the case was adjourned to a date to be fixed due to Dr Brooks’ ill-health, following an application from the defendant.
