Police appeal after roadside assault in Gunthorpe

Officers investigating an assault in Lowdham Road, Gunthorpe are appealing for a passing motorist who stopped and attempted to help, along with any other witnesses, but left before officers arrived.
It happened around 11pm on Saturday 12 May, when a fight started inside a taxi before it pulled up.
The assault then continued on the roadside.
A man sustained a significant facial injury which required hospital treatment.
