Roads re-opened after five-car collision near Bingham




Roads have re-opened following a five-car collision near Bingham last night.

The incident happened on the junction connecting A6097 and A46 at Bingham last night (June 3).

A man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries following the crash which happened at about 10.47pm.

A number of other people were also taken to hospital for treatment.

The A6097 Bridgford Street, between Bingham and East Bridgford, remains closed as is the exit slip road from the southbound A46 to Car Colston.

Other local road closures are also in place.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible and to allow extra time for their journeys.

Anyone who witnessed the crash, who has any dash-cam footage of what happened or has any other information is urged to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 979 of 3 June 2018, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
